License Requirements
- Must be 19 years old or older.
- U S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Not been convicted of a felony or a crime of moral turpitude.
- No real estate or other professional license revoked in any state in the past two years.
- Complete a 60-hour Pre-License Course approved by the Alabama Real Estate Commission within 12 months.
- Pass an In-House Test with a score of 70% or better.
- Obtain a certificate of completion issued by approved school.
- Must pass the Alabama state required test within 12 months of completion of the 60 hour Pre-License Course.
- After a student passes the state exam, (s)he will be issued a temporary license, to be placed with the real estate broker of his/her choice, or to be issued to the Real Estate Commission on inactive status.
- To be issued a permanent license, a student must complete a 30 hour Post-License training course within 12 months of passing the state exam. (Students must complete this course within 6 months of passing the state exam if their temporary license is held by a broker).
